Trying Out Copper Clay

 

My first pack of Copper Clay just arrived today and I had a chance to make all the pieces showm from the packet and it was only $20. With silver prices increasing I think I am going to have to make more mixed metal pieces. also have some Bronze Clay. I bought it when it first came out but it seems more mysterious to me. Will have to try Bronze soon.

Will see how the firing goes withe the copper -- will post finished pieces when I get a chance.

My latest experiment is adding gold to Precious Metal Clay with Aura 22 .. 22k gold and Keum Boo. The results are very satisfying!! Am loving the mixed metals look!!! So versatile!

Studio time is available for those who have taken at least 12 hours of instruction in metal clay by Virginia or other qualified instructor. Studio tools & textures are available for you to practice and explore your creativity with Precious Metal Clay. Virginia will be available to assist you with your projects. You will learn many new techniques as you build your PMC knowledge and skills. Open Studio sessions include firing. Cost: $30 per session or $75 for three consecutive sessions. Bring your own PMC or buy some from Virginia.
